Four-Way Pallet

  • Extremely popular and more versatile

Two-Way Pallet

  • Stringers are solid, which improves load capacity
  • Entry from two directions only

48x40 or GMA Pallet

  • Always 4-Way in design
  • Most popular style/size for shipping and storage
  • Easily and readily exchangeable

Wing pallet

  • Deck boards overhang outside stringers for added strength
  • Improves weight capacity
  • Can be built in 2-way or 4-way models

Block Pallets

  • Allows most accessibility for forklifts
  • Typically more expensive
  • Heavier than stringer pallets
  • More difficult to repair

Reversible Pallets

  • Same deck board configuration, top and bottom
  • Can be flipped over if one deck is damaged or missing boards

Plywood Panel Deck Pallets

  • Solid top designed for longevity
  • Provides uniform support


  • No bottom deck boards create cost savings
  • Usually an expendable solution
  • Weakest of all pallet choices, subject to collapse if overloaded
